Sweetwater
Bichon Frise and Poodle Puppies in Hawaii
To those of you who live in the Hawaiian Islands, we have had the pleasure of helping a local family
bring their Red Poodle, Ulanui, into your state. We did all
of the quarantine here on the mainland at our home in New Mexico. If you have looked into this at
all, you know that there is a lot of coordination involved in getting your Bichon
puppy or Poodle puppy into Hawaii.
The vet we use here did the rabies vaccines, 2 of them, followed by the
titer testing, and then the Red Poodle puppy did the 6 month quarantine also here in New Mexico with
us. The family was then able to pick the puppy up on the
mainland themselves and take her home on the plane to
Hawaii in their laps.
Most people will prefer to have the dog shipped into the islands and
meet their puppy at the airport, where they must then proceed to the quarantine area for the final
approval and entrance into Hawaii.
We are happy to help you with this process, in
understanding the costs, the paperwork, and everything else that is involved in getting your Sweetwater
Poodle puppy or Bichon Frise puppy through quarantine and safely to your home in
Hawaii.
